  • Ever since I was 8 years old and I stepped on an athletics track for the first time, I dreamed of representing my country on the biggest stage. During my school years, I competed and always strived to be better, faster. At the age of 23, I stepped away from competitive athletics and focussed on my career as a Primary School Teacher. My ‘all or nothing’ mindset made it difficult to give 110% to both of my passions, so I gave up competitive running for a year. A strong desire took over – I was talented. I was strong and...

  • From a young age, I realized that it was not about being talented or gifted to succeed, but about being disciplined and willing to work harder than others. As an athlete, it is not mandatory to succeed, but it is an obligation to prepare yourself as best as possible to do so. Success does not imply any talent, just willpower, patience and hard work. These values are an integral part of my DNA as an athlete and the person I have become. These values that I hold dear have been with NOBULL since the first time I heard about this...

  • Ever since I was little, the hard work that comes with wanting to achieve anything has been ingrained within me – from competing in the World Jiu Jitsu Championships to being part of the first British team to get to the CrossFit Games® as part of Team JST.  Behind all of that came learning that one of the hardest and most important aspects of being NOBULL transcends physical training by taking “no bull” in what you believe in and what lights you up. I found that what lit me up was and is being able to see just what I’m...

  • Being a good athlete means having a strong mindset and the ability to push yourself everyday. Avoiding distractions, other temptations and staying focused on your goals, no matter what. There have been many times when I have wanted to fall down, cry and quit. When I have asked myself if this is all worth it? But then I remind myself why I do CrossFit. I love striving to be better everyday. I thrive on setting goals for myself and chasing them with everything I have. If that means waking up early before school to get a workout in, or doing...

  • “Writing this was a challenge. ‘How open is too open, how much information is too much information, why do you care so much what you say and what people think of it?’ These were all questions I asked myself as I started to jot ideas down to a simple question. The answer is because this means a lot to me. So I will try my best. Life is a lesson, every day is an opportunity to learn, and sometimes we don’t realise these daily teachings until some time in the future. The biggest lesson I have learned so far is...
