In my culture names are very important. It’s not just what people call you. It’s the opportunity to strive for this piece of identity that has been given to me by my family.
Akintola means: valor is enough for honor.
Valor to me, means having the bravery, having the courage to do things that are hard, or make you uncomfortable. Having the courage to try is enough for honor. Enough to look at yourself at the end of the day and know that you’re striving for something greater.
